年末，山西大同古城搭客不少。司机张磊在寒风中罗致包车贸易。从古城启程，到距古城六七十公里外的悬空寺和应县木塔景区，包车只需200元。云冈石窟固然也迎来了旅游淡季，但仍有外地搭客前来打卡。

It is the end of the year， yet the ancient city of Datong， Shanxi is still brimming with tourists. Taxi driver， Zhang Lei， is soliciting business for chartered cars in the cold wind. Taking a chartered car from the ancient city to the Xuankong Temple and Yingxian Wooden Pagoda， roughly 60 to 70 kilometers away， only costs 200 yuan. Although the Yungang Grottoes have entered the off-season， tourists are still streaming in from all over the country.

2024年8月，以《西纪行》为配景的游戏《黑听说：悟空》上线，大同是游戏迫切取景地之一，赶紧成为2024年炙手可热的旅游胜地。火爆的还有按游戏取景地画图的山西文旅舆图，27个取景地从北至南，汇聚了这座蕴涵丰富古建筑资源、有着千年历史的省份。

The game “Black Myth: Wukong”， which is based on “Journey to the West”， was launched in August 2024. As one of the real-life locations featured in the game， Datong quickly became a hot tourist destination in 2024. The map of Shanxi tourism drawn based on the game’s inspired locations is also in high demand. Ranging from north to south， the 27 filming locations sprawl across the province that has a thousand-year history and is rich in ancient architectural resources.

“游戏仅仅一个推手，山西一直十分出彩，仅仅穷乏被大众看见的契机。”应县木塔景区阐明员刘宇说。2024年，“中国古代建筑宝库”山西省等来了这个契机。

“The game is just a driving force. Shanxi has always been outstanding， but it just lacked the opportunity to be seen，” said Liu Yu， a guide at the Yingxian Wooden Pagoda. In 2024， Shanxi Province， known as the “treasure house of ancient Chinese architecture”， finally got this opportunity.

旅游淡季仍有热度

Tourism still a hit even in the off-season

12月末，山西大同气温降至-10℃，中国四大石窟群之一——云冈石窟迎来了旅游淡季。“以前大大宗搭客在旅游旺季来大同，都会到云冈石窟，但本年游戏火爆以后，搭客数翻倍增长，即使在旅游淡季也有东谈主来参不雅。”云冈石窟的导游张磊说。

At the end of December， the temperature in Datong， Shanxi dropped to -10℃. For the Yungang Grottoes， one of the four major grottoes in China， this ushered in the off-season. “In the past， most tourists would visit the Yungang Grottoes during the peak season， but thanks to the hit game， Black Myth， the number of visitors has doubled， and even in the off-season， there are still people coming to visit，” said Zhang Lei， a guide at the Yungang Grottoes.

游戏《黑听说：悟空》为云冈石窟的火爆推波助浪。携程数据透露，国庆前三天，山西省旅游订单预订量较中秋节环比增长63%，大同旅游订单预订量环比中秋节增长超100%。

The game “Black Myth: Wukong” has pushed the Yungang Grottoes into the public eye. Data from Ctrip shows that during the first three days of the National Day， the number of orders for Shanxi Province increased by 63% compared to the Mid-Autumn Festival， and for Datong city increased by more than 100% compared to the Mid-Autumn Festival.

作念了10年导游的张磊，见证了本年以来大同乃至山西文旅商场的火爆。8月末游戏上线后，云冈石窟于9月和10月迎来火爆期。当时，张磊每天能带4次游览团，每个团15东谈主掌握，是之前带客量的四五倍。许多搭客是85后、90后的游戏玩家，还带着孩子悉数来参不雅。

Zhang Lei， who has been a guide for 10 years， has witnessed the booming tourism market in Datong and Shanxi since the beginning of this year. After the game was launched at the end of August， the Yungang Grottoes experienced a boom in September and October. At that time， Zhang Lei could lead four tour groups every day， each with about 15 people， which was four to five times the number of tourists he previously lead. Many of the tourists were millennial gamers， and they even brought their children along.

12月天气阴凉，大同旅游迎来淡季，但云冈石窟景区内仍有搭客打卡。“昔日淡季时景区基本不会有阐明团，本年因为游戏鞭策，当今每天我至少能带一次团。”张磊说，以前冬天他会去三亚带冬季团，本年冬天则留在了大同。

In December， as the colder weather set in， so did tourism in Datong which entered the off-season. Yet， streams of tourists could still be seen visiting the Yungang Grottoes. “In the past， there were basically no guided tours during the off-season， but this year， because of the game， I can have at least one tour group every day，” Zhang Lei said. In the past， he would go to Sanya to offer tours in winter， but this year he stayed in Datong.

“山西的旅游是‘三分看七分听’。”张磊说，山西古建筑有着悠久的历史文化，本年来参不雅的搭客，更想了解古建筑背后的历史与文化，是以对阐明员的业务才略淡薄了更高条目。

“Tourism in Shanxi is ‘thirty percent sightseeing and seventy percent listeningduring guided tours’.” Zhang Lei said that the ancient buildings in Shanxi have a long history and culture， and this year’s visitorshope to know more about the history and culture behind the ancient buildings， which entails higher proficiency in the commentators’ professional skills.

冷门景点驱动火爆

Unpopular scenic spots are gaining popularity

被《黑听说：悟空》推向善良岑岭的不啻云冈石窟，更多的山西古建名胜也走进了搭客视线，山西朔州的应县木塔就是其一。

The Yungang Grottoes are not the only sights that have been pushed to the peak of attention by “Black Myth: Wukong”. More ancient architectural relics in Shanxi have also come into the sight of tourists， and the Yingxian Wooden Pagoda in Shuozhou， Shanxi is one of them.

应县木塔 Yingxian Wooden Pagoda

应县距大同约69公里，向南100公里处就是“一去紫台连朔漠”的雁门关。应县木塔始建于辽代，是中国现有唯一的纯木结构古塔，与意大利比萨斜塔、巴黎埃菲尔铁塔并称为“寰宇三大奇塔”。

Yingxian county is about 69 kilometers away from Datong， 100 kilometers to the south is Yanmenguan， which was once described in the line “She left the imperial palace and traveled all the way to the vast desert”.Yingxian wooden Pagoda was first built in the Liao Dynasty. It is the only existing pure wooden structure ancient pagoda in China. The pagoda， together with the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy and the Eiffel Tower in Paris， areknown as the “Three Iconic Towers of the World”.

“关内是北宋，关外是辽朝，澶渊之盟后，华夏的工匠来到此处，在辽朝修建了这座木塔。”应县木塔官方阐明员刘宇告诉极目新闻记者，国庆本领，这里的搭客量一天最高达5万东谈主次。旺季时，应县木塔景区有20多名阐明员，每东谈主每天要带团十五六次。

“Inside the Yanmenguan was the Northern Song Dynasty， and outside Yanmenguan was the Liao Dynasty. After the alliance of Chanyuan， craftsmen from the Central Plains came here and built the wooden pagoda in the Liao Dynasty.”Liu Yu， the official commentator of Yingxian Wooden Pagoda， told Jimu News’reporters that during the National Day period， the number of visitors here peaked at 50，000 a day. During the peak season， there are more than 20 commentators in the Yingxian Wooden Pagoda scenic area， and each of them has to lead tour groups 15 or 16 times a day.

在建筑学价值上，应县木塔有着极高的地位及经营价值。20世纪30年代，建筑学家梁念念成来到山西进行古建筑磨练，第一次在夜色中参加应县，远远望见如玄色巨东谈主般兀立的塔身，其后写信给林徽因，就刻画木塔“好到令东谈主叫绝”“这塔确切唯一无二的伟大作品。不见此塔，不知木构的可能性到了什么过程。我佩服极了，佩服诞生这塔的期间，和那期间里不闻名的建筑师、不闻名的匠东谈主”。

In terms of architectural value， Yingxian wooden pagoda boasts a high status and research value. In the 1930s， architect Liang Sicheng came to Shanxi Province to investigate ancient buildings. He first entered Yingxian in the night and saw the pagoda standing like a black giant from a distance. Later， he wrote to Lin Huiyin， describing the wooden pagoda as “astonishingly good”and “This pagoda is truly one of a kind and remarkable. Without seeing this tower， I would never know the potentialwooden structures can reach. I admire the era when this tower was built， and the unknown architects and craftsmen of that era.”

在酬酢媒体上，木塔被称为“看一眼少一眼”的建筑学行状。20世纪30年代，军阀的炮火及区分规的修缮使塔身结构被壅塞，木塔第二层向东朔主义歪斜，于今尚无完整的修缮归附模范。

On social media， the wooden tower has been called a “one look， one less look” architectural miracle. In the 1930s， the fire of the warlords and the non-compliant repairs destroyed the structure of the tower， and the second floor tilted to the northeast. Up to now， there are no perfect repair and restoration measures.

据了解，2024年国庆假期前五天，应县木塔景区共理财搭客19万多东谈主次，较旧年同时增长了128.66%。

It is known that in the five days leading up to the National Day holiday in 2024， the Wooden Pagoda Scenic Spot in Yingxian County received more than 190，000 tourists， an increase of 128.66% compared with the same period last year.

“现实中看到木塔认为颤动，能完整保存近千年，真的很狠恶。”搭客卢平说，玩游戏时认为谋略得很讲求，一直以为有些场景是画出来的，此次和女友悉数来山西，才知谈这些讲求的画面都有原型。

“I am shocked to see the wooden tower in the flesh. It is really impressive how it has been perfectly preserved for nearly a thousand years.” Lu Ping， a tourist， said that when playing the game， he found the designs stunning， reasoning that some scenes were painted. However，during this visit to Shanxi with his girlfriend， he finally realized that the beautiful scenes had real-life inspirations.

不单劝诱游戏玩家

Appealing to Non-gamers

跟着游戏的火爆，酬酢媒体上传播着一份山西古建筑打卡舆图。舆图从北至南汇聚悉数山西省，从大同驱动，至应县、五台、平遥，一直到晋西南的临汾、芮城。

With the popularity of the game， a map of the ancient buildings in Shanxi is going viral on social media. The map traverses the whole of Shanxi Province from north to south， starting from Datong to Yingxian， Wutai， Pingyao， and all the way to Linfen and Ruicheng in the southwest of Shanxi.

来自北京的胡雨12月也安排了一场大同之旅，2个月前她刚去过运城旅游。在大同，她参不雅了云冈石窟、华严寺、善化寺、九龙壁，也顺谈去了朔州参不雅应县木塔。她并不是游戏玩家，对游戏的施行知之甚少，仅仅在运城之行后，对辽金期间的古建筑与雕饰产生了浓厚兴致。

Hu Yu from Beijing also arranged a trip to Datong in December. She had just been to Yuncheng two months ago. In Datong， she visited the Yungang Grottoes， the Huayan Temple， the Shanhua Temple， and the Jiulongbi. She also dropped by Shuozhou to visit the Yingxian Wooden Pagoda. A non-gamer herself， she knew very little about the contents of the game. However， after her trip to Yuncheng， she developed a strong interest in the ancient architectures and sculptures of the Liao and Jin dynasties.

游戏取景地之一华严寺 Huayan Temple， a real-life inspiration for the locations in game

本次大同之行，最让胡雨印象真切的是善化寺，这座辽金遗构的寺庙坐落在大同古城内，保存着泥塑、壁画、碑记等特殊文物。有一座金代泥塑大吉利神女像，立于善化寺大雄宝殿中，脸型清脆，眉眼低落，眼神温婉，神色精良，双手拢于广袖之中，身上的彩绘大多褪落，只余少许金粉装潢在裙带之间，在夕阳的余光下闪闪发光。

During her visit to Datong， Hu Yu was most impressed by the Shanhua Temple. This temple， a relic from the Liao and Jin dynasties，is located in the ancient city of Datong and houses clay sculptures， murals， steles and other precious cultural relics. There is a large auspicious statue of a clay goddess from the Jin Dynasty standing in the Daxiongbao Hall of the Shanhua Temple. With a round face， downcast eyebrows， gentle eyes and a delicate expression， the statue has its hands folded in the wide sleeves.Most of the colors on its body have faded， and only a small amount of gold powder is decorated between the skirts， shining brightly in the afterglow of the sunset.

“确切好意思得惊东谈主。”胡雨这样刻画，“站在她眼前会认为她是活的，就这样凝望你，简洁听你诉说。看事后又有一种愁然若失的感受，不知谈下次什么时期能不雅赏到这样高水平的雕饰。”

“It’s breathtaking.” Hu Yu described it this way. “When you stand in front of her， you will feel that she is alive， gazing at you， willing to listen to you. But after seeing it， I felt a sense of loss and wondered when I would be able to enjoy a sculpture of such caliber again.”

而在近百年前，建筑学家林徽因曾经站在相同的位置，被这尊雕像惊艳得说不出话。梁念念成在写给其的家信中写谈：“追思在大同善化寺暮色里，你面向泥像张目结舌的情形，使我茂盛地不肯健忘那逐个瞬的东谈主生有数，由审好意思本能触发的锐感。她就荫藏在一个边际里，咱们就这样静静站着、看着，成为被光照亮的尘埃。”

Nearly 100 years ago， architect Lin Huiyin stood in the same spot and was speechless at the sight of the statue. Liang Sicheng wrote in his letter home: “Recalling the moment you were gazing at the statue in the twilight of Shanhua Temple in Datong， fills me with such profound joy， I wish to never forget that rare moment and the acute sensation that beauty naturally evokes. She was hidden in a corner and we just stood there and watched， like dust illuminated by light.”

“山西是一个你必须亲眼所见智力爱上的场地。”胡雨说，“这些建筑和雕饰，无论图片和视频怎样呈现，都不足亲眼所见来得颤动。”

“Shanxi is a place you have to see to love.” “These buildings and sculptures， no matter how they are presented in pictures and videos， are not as impressive as seeing them in person，” Ms. Hu said.

动作古建筑景区的责任者，刘宇认为，山西古建筑的火爆，游戏仅仅一个推手。“地上文物看山西。山西是中国古建筑遗存最多的省份，期间序列完整、品类广博、形制皆全，一直以来都是‘中国古代建筑宝库’，仅仅穷乏被大众看见的契机”。刘宇说，她对山西文旅的发展很有信心。

As a worker in an ancient architecture scenic area， Liu Yu believes that the game is just a cherry on the icing for the popularity of ancient architecture in Shanxi. “Shanxi is renowned for its above-ground cultural relics. It is the province with the most ancient architecture remains in China， featuring a complete chronological sequence， numerous categories and a full range of architectural forms. It has always been a ‘treasure of ancient Chinese architecture’， yet it lacks the exposure.” Liu Yu expressed her confidence in Shanxi’s cultural tourism and its growth.
